MUM’S RECIPE: Salmon, leek and goat’s cheese flan

Prep time:

15mn

Cooking time:

20mn

Ingredients

For the recipe
4 leeks, white part only
2 salmon steaks without the skin
2 eggs
a few rounds cut from a log of goat’s cheese
20 cl single cream
1 tablespoon flour (or cornflour)
olive oil

Recipe

Preparation time: 15 minutes – Cooking time: 20 minutes

Put the salmon steaks into the first of your Nutribaby baskets and start a 15-minute cooking cycle.

When there are 8 minutes left on the screen, add the leeks to the second basket and finish the cooking cycle.

Meanwhile, break 1 egg whole into the mixing bowl, separate the yolk from the white of the 2nd egg and only add the yolk (so you get one white and two yolks).

Blend the eggs with the milk, flour or cornflour and cream.

Flake the salmon and put it into a ramekin along with the leek.

Pour the egg/cream/milk mixture into the ramekins.

Place a round of goat’s cheese on top of the mixture in each ramekin.

Cover each ramekin with cling film. Be sure to seal each one carefully so the steam cannot get in.

Now, put your ramekins in the 2 steaming baskets and start a 15-minute cooking cycle.

It’s ready to eat!

Nutrition

The salmon will provide you with omega 3s, and more specifically with a fatty acid called DHA, which are both recognised as helping the development of baby’s cognition and motor skills.

Pregnant women often feel extreme tiredness. Leeks are rich in vitamin C and magnesium and will help combat that feeling.
Lastly, because of its high fibre content, this delicious vegetable may help you to reduce the risk of constipation.
